Participation of the Master-1 Marine Sciences – Marine Ecology and Fisheries (EMaH) Track

The Master of Marine Sciences – Marine Ecology and Fisheries (EMaH) track was represented on both university campuses dedicated to Marine Sciences: Capécure (Boulogne-sur-Mer) and La Mi-Voix (Calais).

Track coordinators C. Verpoorter and T. Biard, alongside examination board chairs F. Artigas and E. Alekseenko, welcomed numerous visitors throughout the day. They were supported by Master 1 EMaH students (B. Gaire, A. Lecoutre), who were highly involved in presenting the program.

Serving as true ambassadors for the Master’s program, the students shared their university experiences, laboratory, corporate, and international internships, as well as their career goals. These exchanges provided prospective students and their families with concrete answers regarding coursework, career opportunities, and student life.

Booths, Demonstrations, and Conferences

At both university sites, visitors were able to explore:

• Information booths hosted by teaching staff and students;

• Scientific and educational demonstrations illustrating research activities and equipment;

• Public conferences dedicated to ULCO’s programs and Master’s degree prospects.

The EMaH Master’s presentations highlighted the program, its strong foundation in research, its partnerships with scientific organizations and businesses, as well as the numerous internship opportunities available in France and abroad.

Supported by the IFSEA Graduate School (EUR), this Open House Day was a resounding success. The interactions with high school students, transferring students, and families helped spark new vocations and solidify many study plans in Marine Sciences.

The EMaH Master’s program warmly thanks all the students, faculty members, and staff who mobilized for their commitment and availability.
