General presentation

Problematics related to marine biodiversity and the sustainable use of resources are at the heart of current european and global concerns.

The Master’s degree in Marine Sciences, Marine Ecology and Fisheries course, aims to train engineers, researchers and experts able to take up the environmental, social and economic challenges related to preservation, sustainable use and exploitation of living marine resources.

Thanks to the seafront of the “Hauts-de-France” region, its research domain resolutely turned towards the sea and its socio-professional maritime fabric, the students will work in a multidisciplinary framework to address the marine environment in its entirety.

The training programme is based on a new dynamic which provides students (initial or lifelong training) an attractive environment to develop their skills and build their professional project, through a scientific and socio-economic excellence framework.

The course is built on an innovative architecture based on a system of “majors” and “minors”  combining teaching modules from different academic disciplines and thus allowing students to build their personalised course according to their professional project.
